A native of Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Margaret has a B.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and LL.B from the University of New Brunswick. She was called to the New Brunswick Bar in the year 2000.

Combining her keen mind and personal presence that is both relaxed and professional, Margaret is a gift of calm to her clients and colleagues alike. Margaret believes that far more is involved in serving her clients than merely “putting in time” or accumulating “billable hours”. She is of the view that listening carefully to her clients’ ideas, understanding their needs, and gaining an appreciation of their goals forms a large part of her professional obligation, as well as providing much of the personal satisfaction that she derives from her practice.

Whether she is handling a matter that relates to family law, real estate law, or wills and estates, Margaret’s clients are certain to come away from their dealings with her satisfied that they were valued as true partners in the discussions and that they were full participants in reaching the decisions that impact their lives. Margaret is committed to work/life balance, and engages in a wide range of activities outside of business hours. Whenever she can manage to get away, Margaret enjoys her time travelling and experiencing life.

A concerned professional, Margaret has generously donated considerable free time to worthy causes such as being a board member of Family Plus/Life Solutions, being a long time member of the Girl Guides of Canada – Guides du Canada by serving as Legal Advisor to both the New Brunswick Provincial Council and Executive Council, teaching at the New Brunswick Bar Course, and being on the Saint John Law Society. Together with her husband Frank, Margaret makes her home in Quispamsis.
